Giving Our Tithes & Offerings

Tithing reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His. Tithing is our opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives. James 1:17 says that “every good and perfect gift is from above ...,” so we have an opportunity to tangibly show God He is the “owner” of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives us.

We are pleased to offer you several convenient methods for giving your tithes and offerings online, as well as other contributions.

Quick guide to Giving on the website:

Use our website through our Giving Form.

Use Easy Tithe's website through the Donor Portal. Here you can login to your donor account, view reports and setup recurring giving.

When you first give online a temporary account will be created for you. You can login to the account or you can choose to ignore it. All of your giving is tracked by the email address your provided. Any future giving you do will automatically tie into the same email address.

We encourage you to login to your donor account and explore the many options available. Covenant Church set up our giving with YOU in mind!

You can view a report of all the online giving that you have done. This report is generated through your account tools in the Easy Tithe donor portal. Please note that this report is unique to each email/account and if you have given with multiple emails, or using multiple accounts, you will need to access each account separately to view all of your online giving.

Online Giving - Frequently Asked Questions

You may have more questions than are answered here. If you additional questions, please feel free to contact us!

01

How can I give?

We have many giving options for you including:

  1. On the Giving Page.

  2. By Text Message to (936) 229-4848.

  3. Using your Personal Online Banking website.

02

Who does Covenant Church use to process my transactions?

Covenant Church uses Easy Tithe, a 3rd party vendor, to handle all of our online giving transactions. Easy Tithe boasts the highest level of security and handles over hundreds of thousands of transactions for churches all around the world every year.

03

Does Covenant Church store my credit card or personal information?

No. We do not store any of your information on our website. When you initially give online our vendor automatically creates an account for you in their secure servers. However, your Credit Card information is never stored in their servers unless you specifically request to have it stored.

04

When I give through the website, why do I have to enter an amount before seeing the entire form? Can I just go straight to the full giving form?

The extra step of entering an amount before being forwarded to the complete giving form is a required step to ensure the maximum security for your transaction. Although you see the full giving form on Covenant Church’s website, the form itself is actually on a separate website with SSL Security Encryption in place to protect your valuable information. The initial field that you use to enter your giving amount is on Covenant Church’s website and is used as a convenient method to forward your transaction without requiring you to re-enter the giving amount.

05

What does it mean that Easy Tithe is a PCI-DSS Compliant Level 1 Security Certified Provider?

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is an information security standard defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. PCI certification is required for organizations (merchants and service providers) that process credit card payments. The certification is designed to prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. The standard applies to all organizations which hold, process, or exchange cardholder information from any card branded with the logo of one of the card brands.

PCI-DSS is a standard that specifies best practices and various security controls. Certification in the standard requires organizations to:

  • Build and maintain a secure network

  • Protect cardholder data

  • Maintain a vulnerability management program

  • Implement strong security measures

  • Regularly test and monitor networks

  • Maintain an information security policy

All organizations processing credit card information, regardless of their deployment model, are required to be certified. For larger merchants (Merchant Level 1 is the largest type processing over 300,000 transactions annually), validation of by independent and approved reviewer is required.

06

How do I give to a fund that isn't listed?

If you would like to give an offering to an unlisted fund, you can contact us and let us know. We will either add it to the list, or simply record your one time donation in our records and allocate it correctly.

07

Why does Easy Tithe create an account for me the first time I give?

Easy Tithe automatically creates an account for you because this is required for record keeping purposes. You can continue to give without logging into your account, however it will always be available for your use. If you have trouble logging into your account or need additional assistance, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist you.

08
